A group of bicycles of different hues and sizes descended on the Manovikas school campus at 5:00am on 20th December 2019 as the most enthusiastic students of our school along with our Chief Guest Dr. Vishwajit Faldesai and his team of cyclists took to the road in Manovikas’ first ever “Cyclothon”, organized by the Manovikas Sports Department.
A warm welcome was extended to the Chief Guest Dr. Vishwajit Faldesai who is not only a well-known Orthopaedic surgeon but also an active sports enthusiast, who wishes to introduce cycling to all age groups in Goa. He shared the advantages and experiences of cycling expeditions he has undertaken, with our students.
A warm-up session got the students all geared up for the event, they grooved to the rhythmic beat of Zumba.
As the cycling trail was set, the Chief Guest waved the flag-off and whoosh…!!! went all the cyclists to experience and capture life’s enchanting moments.
Every cyclist returned back to school revealing huge ‘smiling’ faces, all happy to have completed successfully the set cycling goal.
An excellent exhibition of sporting spirit is what each one carried back home.
