Clubs

The Mathematics Club aims to boost our students’ cognitive skills. In the club, the students are taught Vedic Mathematics for easier and faster calculation, as well as, Origami to explain the proofs of different theorems in an innovative manner.

Here begins the adventure where students journey beyond the four walls of the classroom to explore the English language. Through a myriad of activities and games, using mediums of storytelling, poetry, dramatics and public speaking, students explore their latent potential and hidden linguistic passions.

In the Hindi club, students are taught to be expressive and clear enough, with their language skills. They perform different activities such as storytelling, writing and reciting poems, picture-writing, character play, delivering speeches, word games, songs and dramas with an aim to perfect the nuances of Hindi language.

The observatory club of Manovikas is an effective vehicle for promoting space journies and revealing the mysteries of the universe. Teachers and school resources are fully occupied delivering the curriculum which is planned related to the science of astronomy, space and inventions in this field. Students are kept updated about the latest discoveries and frequently taken to the ‘Observatory Centre’ during club hours. Also, night sessions are held for sky gazing and students enthusiastically witness astronomical events through powerful telescopes.

The purpose of the Art and Craft Club is to make students aware of their inner-self and the immediate environment; from the physical existence of objects to daily life experiences. Also, the club provides them with the opportunity for experiential learning through exploring, appreciating, creating and imagining.

The Western Music Club aims at providing a chance for students to enhance their knowledge and appreciate modern music. In order to achieve this, we conduct lectures on artist history, music production, basics of music theory, etc. Activities such as debates, karaoke, club assembly presentations and live demonstrations etc are conducted. Among them, the “Battle of Bands”, a musical competition, is quite famous amongst students.

The Green Club of the school will involve students from  class 5^th  and one dedicated mentor selected from the school teaching staff and focus on growing edible plants in small terrace place in form of a container garden. The Club will set up with the help parents and experts in the field. The project will continue for a period of six months to one year.
