Manovikas School witnessed the celebration of India’s 72nd Republic Day.

It was a matter of great pride as Manovikas School celebrated its 52nd Founders Day on this very day and it was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur on 26th January 2021.

The ceremony began at 9:00 a.m. and the National Flag was unfurled at the hands of our Chief Guest Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha, Chairman of Goa Public Service Commission in the presence of the school management, principals and staff which was followed by the National Anthem sung by the teacher’s choir.

Tr. Annapurna Vengurlekar led the gathering with the National Pledge, an oath to make us aware of our duties towards our nation.  The Preamble of the Constitution of India was read by Tr. Ashodi M.G. and the Manovikas School Pledge, its pride and glory was read by Tr. Swizel Mascarenhas. Tr. Bina Mishra added colour to the program with a patriotic poem in Hindi.

On this day, Tr. Priya Ambe was felicitated by the Director of our school Mrs. Therese Almeida, for completing twenty-five years of service at Manovikas. She was honoured for her phenomenal contributions both to the school and education.

Our Chief Guest Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha inaugurated the new school wing with its spacious classrooms, a Culinary Art Centre and an upgraded Art and Craft Room to foster creative development in children. The new wing has added a distinctive hallmark to the existing edifice of learning.

As all good happenings must come to an end, the 26th January celebrations too ended with the School Anthem sung by the teacher’s choir.
