Report of the ICSE Principal’s conference

The Principals of All India ICSE and ISC schools Conference 2022 was conducted at Trivandrum in Kerela this year in the month of November.The theme for the conference was ‘Revitalizing School Education’.The governor of Kerela Mr Arif Mohammad Khan  inaugurated the opening ceremony.
The gathering of educators were welcomed with  dances of Kerela and more  contemporary cultural events  which were amazing and mesmerising .The cuisine served was rich cuisine moulded over the ages through a delectable blend of Malabari, French, Brit and Arabian influences  which had given rise to the most unique and lip smacking coastal flavours,spelling out;

‘Welcome to God’s Own Country, Kerala!’

A confluence of over 3000 Principals assembled at one place in the country with a predominance of prioritising ICSE and ISC education  as their foremost prerogative.
During the conference Principals of India interacted with each other and exchanged innovational and avant-garde ideas adding to the enrichment of the conference.
Noteworthy and distinguished speakers like Shashi Tharoor graced the conference with their powerful and  stimulating speeches propelling the synod to greater heights of elasticity and excellence.
The conclave no doubt was marked with the presence of psychologists who  addressed the present challenges with school children .Principals were engaged in lengthy  discourses entailing  information on present day issues like Stress ,Mental health and hygeine ,it  also highlighted and focussed  on other issues like cyber bullying and depression.
The symposium of Principals had an opportunity to meet and interact with the ICSE and ISC Council Secretary and Chairman who briefed the members about the new implementations in the syllabus and examination pattern .The ICSE board is in the process of adopting and adapting to  the NEP and assured the Principals of its longevity of existance,originality and independence nevertheless welcoming the NEP and the changes through a broader perspective with an unabated vision.
The venue for the next Principal’s Conference was decided as Hyderabad .
