Goa Liberation Day Celebration in School

19 th of December, Goa Liberation Day is marked by an abundance of events and festivities in Goa though this time because of the pandemic the celebrations are expected to be muted. However, our School celebrated this important day in a unique way. The assembly was conducted in Konkani by the students, beginning with the welcoming of the Chief Guest for the function, principals, teachers and the students. After the hoisting of the tri-colour flag, National anthem was sung. Following to that was a speech by Arsh Khan from Class VI. A troupe of students of Class VII, sung a song on Goa. Avni Lotlikar of Class V Haniya Shaikh of Class VI and Devansh Volvotkar of Class VII, performed a monoact on the freedom fighters of Goa. A group of students of Class V performed a Goan Folk Dance –‘Kotti Dance’. The programme ended with the school song.
