Students of class X A, B & C visited Opa Waterworks (Water treatment plant) at Curti, Ponda on 23rd April 2022 as a part of ICSE class X, Environmental Applications and Geography project work.

The aim of the field trip was to acquaint the students with the primary, secondary and tertiary stages of treating water. Students were given a detailed insight of the plant’s functioning by the site supervisors. Processes like water aeration, sedimentation and filtering were explained effectively. Students also got a glimpse of the water testing facility in the plant’s well equipped laboratory.
