Diwali celebration

‘Diwali is said to be a symbol of hope for humankind. Diwali also symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.

With sparkling and prosperous wishes for one another, Manovikas English Medium School celebrated Diwali on 21st October 2022. The day began with a ‘spark’.  Diwali activities were conducted for classes V, VI and VII wherein, students of class V made  wonderful Diwali greeting cards for their families, friends and loved ones with great enthusiasm and happiness. Class VI displayed their creativity by painting and decorating diyas that signify light. All diyas were artistically painted and decorated.
Class VII made magnificent rangoli designs using stencils and rangoli colour in varied use that beautified the corridors of the school which set the mood of the festival. The ambience created by the hand crafted lanterns emphatically set the tone for Diwali.

The best part of the day was reminding us about the significance of this festival that is good over evil by burning of the Narkasur prepared by our PT teachers along with students. Students of the Middle school and High school were gathered all around the skating rink for the burning of the Narkasur.

Teachers prepared a Diwali special, ‘Poha’ also called ‘Fov’ in Konkani. Students from the V to the XI enjoyed the special treat.

May the festival of lights brighten up your lives  and bring happiness, joy and prosperity for you and your family.
