ALL GOA STREET PLAY COMPETITION 2022-23

Manovikas English Medium School hosted the 8th  All Goa Street play competition on 30th September 2022.The Chief guest for the event was Mr. John D’silva, a well known Goan tiatrist and director. The competition was judged by Mr. Laxman Parab, Tiatrist Chitra Alfonso and Tiatrist Anthony San.
14 schools participated in the all Goa Street play competition. Participants made an earnest effort to portray the contemporary socio-political issues that are prevalent in Goa, under the title “Hai re hai mhargai!!!” , “Online – offline”, “mhaje? Kai tuje Goem” The performances   of participants were enthralling and invincible. Their thunderous voices reverberated in the environment.

At the onset, the chairman of Manovikas school  Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha, extended a warm welcome to the Chief guest, judges and the Trustees of Manovikas present at the function. Sir Akshay Borkar  appraised the participants and guests about the rules of street play performances.

Manovikas English Medium High school secured the third place,Nirakar High school Cancona secured the second place and Rajmata padmati Saundekar High School,Ponda bagged the first prize for their mesmerizing and outstanding performances.
Consolation prizes were awarded to GVM’s Utkarsh Vidya Mandir High School, Ponda, Tudal High School, Canacona and
St. Xavier’s School, Curtorim.

Nirakar High School, Canacona and Rajmata Padmati Raje Saundekar High School, Ponda bagged special prizes for best Script and best Slogan respectively.

The Event concluded on a sweet note with the deliverance of Vote of thanks by Tr Vanifa Tavares. The gathering dispersed after singing the National Anthem.
