Sky gazing during first week of March 2021

Students of middle school during the first week of March  enjoyed a fun filled week with activities and sky gazing at twilight . They study the Sun at noon. A documentary was screened at the Auditorium on “Mangalyaan, a mission to Mars”.

The planet under observation for the week was Mars. Students learned about the different aspects of the   planet Mars.  They understood how and when to spot Mars in the night sky and a brief study on the Martians moons.

Students observed Mars through an 8 inch telescope using 40 mm eyepiece. The constellation the students studied for this week was The OrionCanis Major and Taurus (the bull).
